Wait, people still do OA and RA?
I’ve had my Amazon account for over 6 years and remember back in the day flipping stuff from Homegoods or similar clearance stores. This is no longer my business model.
I thought OA/RA was cracked down on but I’ve seen enough posts on Reddit and elsewhere and understand it’s still happening, and for some people it’s a significant amount.
So with the merits/profitability of doing OA/RA aside, what is Amazon’s stance on this? Are sellers just hoping they don’t get shut down by Amazon? Are they selling new as used? I was under the impression you needed written permission from a producer or wholesaler to sell a company’s product. Even if you pass through the “request approval” process for a brand, I thought this only satisfies Amazon’s requirements but the business could still ask Amazon to then come after you.
I’m not willing to risk my account for any reason since I have a profitable no risk operation going on right now but would add in some OA if it was allowed.
