Whats the difference between the name on the left upper corner next to Amazon Seller Central and store display name?

I signed up as an individual seller, not under a private owned business.

When signing up , it asked for a store name that can later be changed. I choose a random word “Almsy”. Later when I successfully trademarked my brand, I changed the store name to ‘inani’. It reflects on the my account info. USA, Canada, and Mexico marketplace all have “inani” as the storename. But the name on the upper left corner next to Amazon Seller Central is still shows as:

almsy | United States

Whats the difference between the name on the left upper corner next to Amazon Seller Central and store display name?

I had 2 people tell me that its just a name for my account and that its not visible to any customers and only visible to me. I also don’t see an option to change it to keep everything as ‘inani’. But then again, seller support wasn’t able to tell me the difference between these two. Does this matter at all?

My next step is to register for brand registry and I know Amazon has been getting stricter with new sellers. I don’t want want this to be an issue later on.
