Amazon FBA: Does Amazon repackage items sent to them from the manufacturer?
Hey all,
New Amazon Seller here, excited to start with my first product.
I am through the product research phase and onto talking to suppliers. My item is a series of paper targets for shooting ranges. As the paper comes rolled, I planned on having the items packaged in a cardboard box in order to protect them from damage and ensure the quality to customers.
I am seeing from competitors that they just roll their targets and package them in a plastic bag. This is obviously a significant increase in savings during the manufacturing phase. Obviously the individual bagged targets are shipped within a master carton, but once at the warehouse they are shipped individually.
My question is, does Amazon place these plastic wrapped targets in an Amazon Prime box for shipping? I can’t imagine they don’t as they would be destroyed on transit if just shipped in a plastic bag.
