Amazon dropshipping question.

I’m a noob just starting, I’ve spent ages googling how this works and i swear every video is useless.. When someone places an order on your Amazon product… WHERE does that money go??? If my dropshiped product is from Aliexpress for example.. do I use my OWN money to buy it and send it to them? If so when the hell do I get that money back? I was thinking the customer pays for your product right.. then that money goes somewhere where you can use it asap to buy the product and you’re left with the profit ..right?

Please clarify !!! Other tips appreciated too!
