Is selling on Amazon worth it?

I am looking to set up a business selling on Amazon, I’m content with making £2-3k a month. I’m not expecting to get rich off it, I just want to be in a position eventually where I can quit my job and focus on this. Is this achievable in today’s market? I am looking to sell either kids toys or beauty products such as hair brushes, hair clips etc
