Build International Listings – ELI5

Can someone explain this like I’m 5?

I’m trying to list my USA, Private Label, FBM assortment on Amazon Canada. I’ve successfully linked my accounts, but all of my listings failed automatic translation. This makes sense since these are unique items, sold only by me and they don’t already exist on Amazon Canada.

The guidance is to “Create the ASIN manually in Amazon.ca, in the appropriate language. The SKU for the ASIN must match the SKU in Amazon.com.”

When I do this it errors out saying the sku is already in my catalog and I must pick a unique sku??

Help!
