Can’t get Seller’s Permit without Supplier but can’t get Supplier without Seller’s Permit in Cali

Came across an issue. Can’t get Seller’s Permit without a supplier but can’t get a Supplier without a Resale Certificate, which you can only get once you have a Seller’s Permit in California. Is this correct? I’ve read that some people have put a potential Supplier’s info in without actually having them as an official supplier yet. Is that allowed? What do I do now?

Question about Bundling Branded Products and Trademark Policy Differences

Hi everyone,

I’m an Amazon EU seller and I have a question regarding listing branded products as bundles.

My strategy is to sell products that already exist on Amazon, but instead of joining the existing ASIN, I create a bundle (for example, product + accessory or multi-pack) so I can generate a new listing with a new ASIN.

Here’s the issue:

With some brands, when I try to create a bundled listing, I immediately get a trademark violation warning — so I delete the draft. However, with other well-known brands, I can create the bundle listing without any issue at all.

I’m trying to understand:

1. Why does Amazon allow bundling for some brands but flags others for trademark violations? 2. Is this related to Brand Registry enforcement level? 3. Do some brands manually report listings while others don’t? 4. How can I structure bundles properly to avoid future IP complaints? 

I’m not trying to do anything against policy — just trying to understand the difference in enforcement between brands.

Also, competing on price alone isn’t an option. In some listings, sellers are pricing lower than supplier cost (even before shipping, Amazon fees, and margin). It honestly amazes me how some sellers are profitable at those prices.

Would really appreciate insights from experienced sellers who’ve dealt with this.

I’m convinced the amazon seller assistants have no idea what they’re doing.

They go off a script, repeat the policy/steps and that’s it. They don’t know how to problem solve or read into the problem to help in any capacity. I’ve been trying to delete my inventory from the manage products page for weeks. I’ve set inventory to 0, delete one by one, they all come back. I do a CSV to purge and replace, doesn’t work. Did a blank CSV with delete and the SKUs/ASINs, doesnt work. I want to change how everything is and change the brand name as well. When the previous owner of the products sold the business to me we uploaded the same CSV that we used on our other platform. However neither of us realized that we wouldn’t be able to change the brand name from theirs to mine. So, logically we thought delete and start over. They come right back like a dang hemorrhoid.

USPS priority shipping no longer an option for FBM? Or just a temporary problem?

I’ve been selling through Amazon as a Fullfilled-by-Merchant seller for several years. I think about 5-10% of customers pay seem to pay for expedited shipping. And It’s been no problem, I just take their extra money and use it to buy USPS Priority shipping instead of USPS Ground Advantage. I prefer USPS over UPS or FedEx due to their proximity to me. They’re also a bit cheaper and come with some simple insurance for ground advantage.

During the last few weeks, USPS has not been an option for my expedited orders. It’s been giving me estimated delivery dates of like a full week! So I end up using UPS Ground (like 50 cents more than USPS Ground) and get it there on time.

Is something happening with USPS Priority, like a major backlog right now? Or should I expect this to continue longterm?
