Can I choose the FNSKU code?

Hello

Hoping someone might have experience In this.

I have a product in the Amazon warehouse currently selling FBA.

I ordered new stock and it has arrived with a incorrect FNSKU barcode on. I think this may be from a product that I didn’t proceed with so I think it may be a FNSKU previously allocated to my store. ( can not see the deleted dormant listings that I deleted in August when clearing up the dashboard)

I have 3000 units in a 3rd party warehouse that I am looking to ship into Amazon at intervals.

I have tried to ask Amazon help centre if I can add this FNSKU number that I already have to my listing.

I have received feedback that I can add a New FNSKU to the existing ASIN ( needing a new sku) but I can not seem to establish if I can use the FNSKU that I have printed on my product already as all links that I read seem to indicate that a new FNSKU will be issued.

Has anyone added or edited a FNSKU that they chose or am I likely going to have to reliable the product.

Any suggestions of work arounds other than relabelling gratefully received!
