Liability insurance for non-US sellers?
“Pro Merchants who sell on Amazon must provide proof of Commercial General Liability insurance. This insurance, obtained at the merchant’s expense, shall cover up to $1,000,000 per occurrence and in the aggregate and must include product liability, bodily injury, or personal injury, property damage, and other requirements as stated in the Amazon Services Business Solutions Agreement. The insurance must indicate that “Amazon.com, Inc., and its affiliates and assignees” are added as additional insureds.”
Any ideas about credible companies that provide this kind of insurance for non-US sellers?
I searched sellercentral forum for an answer but the only suggestion I found is to register LLC in the US in order to get insured by a local provider. This is not an option because Amazon will eventually request to prove that you physically operate from the US (via utility bill), and I have yet no plans on operating physical office in the US.
With so many international sellers on Amazon it is very odd that there is no obvious solution.
