Product category violations – need help from the hive mind
Hello hive mind,
I’ve had an Amazon policy warning come through yesterday for 8 products stating that these products are a category violation.
All of these 8 products have been listed on Amazon for well over a year. All of these products are vinyl printed play mats for children, think interactive messy play style mats which optionally can be put into a plastic tray or used on the floor inside / outside.
They are listed under Baby Product > Activity & Entertainment > Playmats & Floor Gyms, which is practically the only category they can be put into which relates to what the product can be used for. Amazon have no flagged 8 of these products and when going into the product to edit the recommended browse nodes have been changed to Stationary & Supplies which has obviously been changed through Amazons end.
Every time I reply to the violation I get the same generic email back stating they can’t remove the violation until I change the category, which I have done within each product and it still won’t accept the changes.
Is it even worth going to seller support or do I just take the violation on the chin?
Any advice is appreciated.
EDIT; Just quickly to say that I don’t want to throw in the towel and take the violation as I don’t want the otherwise healthy account to have any strikes against it but I’m kinda at a loss with what to do here.
