What are the benefits of buying a GS1 barcode?

Dealing with some hijackers, looks like they now basically have the listing since Amazon wont do anything. Note, the items aren’t generic. They have my brand on it. But everytime they’re kicked off, they just make a new acccount and hop back on.

If I own the GS1 barcode traceable back to me, does this add ANY protection or is it just a waste of money
