Quick Question (If you sell from another country)

Dhl told me that the receiver(amazon)needs to pay for all the import duties. When i asked amazon they told me the sender needed to pay them. Is my DHL Completely wrong or am I using the wrong service?

I am sending for the first time inventory to amazon.com in the USA from Europe and I am lost in the process. If you’ve done this before I will really appreciate it if you can share any tips or the process. Thanks
